If you do, here it is; what my family did was to look on the internet until they found a long-term treatment facility that was away from my home town and off I went. Long term because we all felt like not only did I need help but that alot of the programs out there only keep a person for a short while and let's face it, how long did we use? It takes clean time under our belts in order for us to confront what is waiting for us on the outside. Away from home was so I would not be able to attem [...]

There are many different kinds of addictions out there. Such as drugs, alcohol, and even addictions to gambling or even compulsive shopping! And there is a way out!! Twelve-step programs are unfortunatly not a very good source to get off of drugs or anyother kind of addiction because on average they only have a 30 something pecent success rate. Addicts need a rehab that has a higher success rate.

People who are abusing drugs or alcohol need to realize that you do not have very many choices left. Except that you will go to jail, die, or get sober; thats all there is to it no buts or whats about it!! Unfortuantly most twelve step programs do not have the technology to keep a person sober for the long run. People who are addicted need a program with a high success rate, life courses, and ways to pull the drugs form your system so that the person will not have cravings anymore!!

I was an addicted to hydrocodone for 6 years of my life. I never thought something prescribed to me could be bad for me. It was easy at first to say I didn't have a problem but it was harder to admit to myself that it was my problem. It wasn't till I found a place like the one this site that I found an answer to my hydrocodone addiction. I am happy to say I have been free of hydrocodone for over a year and work at the rehab that helped me.

Addiction to Hydrocodone one of the Hardest to Overcome

I made a good friend in treatment. we were both suffering from addiction to hydrocodone. I took the program seriously while she couldn't quite believe she could live without hydrocodone. We both completed the program. I have a good clean life today drug free, she went to her doctor one week. after getting out and is now hooked on heroin and on her way back to treatment. Take addiction to hydrocodone seriously and when you get help, take it very seriously, it is your life.

I thought I was the only one struggling with an addiction to hydrocodone. My eyes were opened when I went to rehab. 7 out of 10 of us were withdrawing from hydrocodone. I had used for 20 years, one got hooked after three months of use. Addiction to hydrocodone can happen at any time.

I was addicted to hydrocodone and my friend knew it and hated how I had become. She was in a bad car wreck and had to go to the hospital. Once she got out we stayed in touch by phone. I hadn't heard from her in a couple of weeks and of course I was still deep in my addiction and she called asking if I had any hydrocodone she could have. Of course I said no even though I had some, and then sadly she asked if I knew where she could get some. I was so saddened at how quickly she became addicted [...]

I worked in the medical field for twenty years in the ER. At the end I ended up having an emergency surgery where I could not function at all without hydrocodone. I could not take care of myself much less others. Hence, I lost the work I loved due to my addiction to hydrocodone.

Hydrocodone turned on me and became my only joy and when I had none my worst nightmare. I went to a long term in-patient rehab and am no longer addicted to hydrocodone. I found my joy for people and am actually working at the rehab I cleaned up at. If I can beat addiction to hydrocodone, you can do it. It's worth it.
